Chinese New Year Eve!

Hooray!It is going to be chinese new year soon.I cannot wait for the ang pows to come, I wonder how much money I would get considering that I had two uncles, two aunties and 13 grand uncles and aunties and so many more relatives that I cannot even count.Well, the only bad things are that firstly, ALL the money would go into my bank and secondly, I would be travelling from place to place like a mad dog.

My family started off by doing spring cleaning for about one hour or more, we had skipped breakfast and planned on going to my grandmother's house to eat a heavy lunch, and there would always be many dishes on the table even if you were eating alone. I took a bath after cleaning the house and proceeded to my grandmother's house.

When we reached her house, we had a scumptious lunch and settled down to do our own stuff. When night came, the house started to crowd with all my cousins, aunties and uncles.Luckily, I was part of the many to be able to eat first, at first, when I saw the food I gasped in awe. There were more than ten dishes on the table an a gigantic steamboat in the centre.The food ranged from abalone to shark fins soup. I really wondered how in the world one fridge would be able contain this much food, not to mention that there were two tables that were filled with food.

I could not even jog or much less even run after that meal, I felt like my stomach would explode, I really regret eating so much but yet I enjoyed it so much. After the meal, my cousins and I had few games of bingo, but we did not bet any money, that is...... until tommorrow or the next day. That night, I stayed up for the countdown while my parents went praying. Sadly, I felt that the countdown was rather boring as all they did was sing songs and I only had a few laughs. I don't think I will be watching next year's countdown if it is at this quality unless they put some pole dancers in the show. Just kidding :)
