Class Outing!

I am so glad that the secondary four students got good results for their O levels last year. I really needed the one day of rest given by our principal, Mr Low for the great results. Yesterday, I was so tired that my legs really felt like breaking and I slept to 11o'clock today.

When a woke up, I was dazed and surprised that there was nobody in the house. I was so happy as I could do anything I want, which obviously, for most children who get to be alone at home do, which is of course, playing computer games. So there I was playing computer like a computer addict, and it was only until Yek Teng called and told me where we wanted to meet for the class outing.I panicked and at the speed of light, packed my things and headed off to meet Yek Teng at Pasir Ris MRT station.

I then found out that Zhi Rui was meeting us there too, and was quite surprised. I actually thought that I would be really late, but little did I expect that I would actually be faster than Yek Teng by about thirty-five minutes! With nothing better to do and not wanting to stand at a spot for thirty-five minutes waiting for someone like a fool, I went to the shopping centre just next to the MRT station.

Just then, I saw Harri walking past me, but I was too shy to say hi, so I just stalked him to see where he was going.( For those people who think I am a pervert, I hereby declare that I am not one! )First, he walked into MacDonalds, and after going for a stroll in the shopping centre, I saw him again, carrying a bag of fries and then heading into a seven eleven store. I really wonder how much food there was in his stomach at that time, I mean who can have a meal at MacDonalds and then go to a seven eleven store to buy somthing else to eat.And guess what, I even got to see my cousin with a group of his friends and also, after that, I saw Jerry walk past me too.

Yek Tend and Zhi Rui then grgeeted me by scaring me in the back and tried to make me die from a heart attack. We ate a really scrumtious meal at KFC and then took a bus to the class outing point. We had a few rounds of bowling and I felt that it was a really good choice for the class outing as everybody could participate in it and we did not have to pay a single cent. I really enjoyed myself there, we ended the game by giving out rewards to those with high points, in the end I got lolipops, well at least it is better than nothing. As I wanted to go home soon, I requested Luke if I could take a ride from his parents' car home, luckily, they agreed.

I really hope that we can have more class outings as fun as this although, all the time as we need to rest on holidays too.I loved the class outing and I would like to thank the class and Ms Shyamira for organising this event. Ohh.. and also Zhi Rui for letting us use the class fund to pay for the bowling fees, although, those fees were originally given from us, so I should actually be thanking myself!

CNY! Happy new year!

26th January 2009

Hooray! It is chinese new year! Firstly I would like to wish all of you people a happy new year, now where are the ang pows.......oops....... I mean... hope all your wishes come true! I started off the day by kneeling down in front of my parents and holding two oranges in my hand, wishing them to have prosperity and stuff like this in chinese using rather chim idioms, half asleep. Well, as sleepy as I was, after staying up last night watching the celebrations, it was the only way to get two gigantic ang pows which contain alot of money of course!

We skipped breakfast like yesterday and went to my grandmother's house again. I sure hope I lose weight soon! Well what I did not know was that there was a buffet waiting for me at my grandmother's house. Well there goes my chance to do even one pull up. I started gobbling up the food as it was really delicious and probably had about two and a half servings, and I only came to my senses when,oh my god, I realised that I could not walk steadily for the second time after a meal, what had I done...

After that I took a few pictures with my cousins, well actually there was alot of pictures taken, so much that I think that was the only moment of my life I took so many pictures at one time. And I would not have done it if my aunt and cousins asked me to do so, and you don't normally say no to your relatives' requests, so I had no choice. As I tried to smile in front of the camera as hard as possible, alot of people came pouring into the house, phew, I did not have to take pictures anymore.

'Thank you' became a word that I kept using as ang pows from everywhere came towards me. There was not a moment I left the living room as from my past experiences, once you leave the living room, even for a moment, you might miss the ang pows too! It was not until about 15 minutes later that all of the ang pows were given out.

It was not long until one of the most important parts of the chinese new year celebrations came( well to me at least ), for some you might probably guess what it is..... Yes! It is time to gamble, and we mean the real deal!My family would only be able to do this once every year and that was during chinese new year. The games ranged from Bingo to blackjack and it was really fun, at least for the children as the money we betted was all from our parents, and if we won money it would be ours, and if we lost money, we would not feel sad as the money lost would be from our parents! It was hilarious!

However, on the second day of chinese new year, things were not as good. Even thought we recieved many ang pows on that day, my legs were beginning to break and I was felling really lethargic as we were moving from house to house, and you would not be able to imagine how tiring it is to have thirteen grand uncles' and aunties' houses to go to, and not even including my uncles and aunties. I was so tired that about every five minutes I would be asking,' can we go home??' and I even slept at one of my relative's house.

This has helped me learn an important lesson, never have more than five children or it will be hell for the future generation. No wonder people choose to have less kids these days, this has to be the reason... I think! Whatever the case, I wish all of you to have a great year ahead!

Sorry!

I am really sorry but for the previous post and the next few, there would not be any pictures as my camera is in my grandmother's house. I know you would probably find pictureless posts boring but please bear with it and continue to read my posts!
